Corrugated Roofing Sheet

The color, quality and style of the roof not only provide shade for the structure of the house, but also have a big impact on its appearance.
In modern architecture, roofs play a key role in decorating a home, says Herbert Ziva, foreman at a construction company in Kampala.
Clay tiles are a traditional roofing material known for their ability to withstand harsh weather conditions such as wind, hail, fire and rain.
According to architect Abdu-Wahab Nyanzi, clay tiles are not only expensive, but also heavy and require a stronger structure than other roofing materials, which increases the cost of building a house.
Nyanzi notes that if the roof is steep, the tiles will need to be pre-drilled and glued. Also, in some cases they have to be held in place with metal braces, making the entire roofing project costly.
It’s important to carefully consult with your architect about roofing materials, formats and types before putting on a roof, Nyanzi says.
“Once a roof is in place, removing the roof and making repairs is not cheap. So it’s important to get it right the first time,” he advises.
Before building a roof, be sure to consult with your architect about the materials, formats, and types of roofs.
“Because the tiles are made up of small pieces, you need to bring the runs closer together for support,” he advises.
Nyanzi also said that the tiles are not completely waterproof. So you will have to spend money on bedding in the form of regular G1 sheets or wire mesh and polyethylene sheets.
Considering the labor intensity of building a tiled roof, more money will be spent on the job than on a tin roof. However, even with professional installation, a tiled roof can leak several months after installation. Tiles often move from their intended position, allowing water to seep in.
Once a leak occurs, the roof can be quickly damaged and shingles can actually fall off. In addition, the tile is very fragile and can easily crack.
Each tile costs between 2,500 and 3,200 shillings. Clay or concrete bricks are durable, says Dharmendra Kanji Vekaria, sales manager for a construction company. He says there are corrugated and flat or conical tiles.
