At present, Chinese iron and steel industry still has a certain gap with the advanced level of the world in variety, quality, cost, service and labor productivity. Facing the increasingly fierce international and domestic market competition, we must accelerate the pace of structural adjustment, which is not only the need of survival and development of Chinese metallurgical industry, but also the development trend of the metallurgical industry in the world. Hot Dip Galavnizing was invented in the mid-18th century and developed from the process of hot dip galvanizing. After 50 years of development, continuous hot dip galvanizing process of steel strip has become a mature and advanced industrial technology. So far, hot dip galvanizing is still the most common and effective process measure in steel corrosion prevention methods. In the construction industry, used for all kinds of industrial and civil buildings of light steel keel, building layer board, corrugated board, rolling shutter doors, etc. In household appliances and light industry, used for all kinds of household appliances shell and bottom plate; Galvanized steel is widely used in light industry, home appliances, automobiles and construction industries. In the automobile industry, used for automobile body, shell, inner plate, bottom plate, etc. Our country vigorously develop electric power, transportation, communications, energy and urban infrastructure, along with construction, household appliances and automobile industries develop vigorously, our country galvanizing industry faces unprecedented opportunities and huge market.
In the past 20 years, the continuous hot dip galvanizing technology, equipment and corresponding control means of steel strip have been greatly developed, so that galvanized sheet can meet the harsh requirements of automobile panel and household appliance plate, and thus it is cheaper than electrogalvanized alloy steel strip, excellent corrosion resistance and has the potential to replace. This paper intends to draw lessons from advanced foreign hot-dip galvanized steel plate production technology and equipment development technologies and experiences. Through technical innovation, optimization design, precision manufacturing and technical cooperation abroad, this paper aims to break through the development bottlenecks in production technology and equipment of hot-dip galvanized steel plate for high performance automobile in our country. At the same time, the significance and prospect of hot dip galvanizing technology in sustainable development of national economy, energy saving and mineral resources are discussed.
